- City is modern therefore it's either set in the current time or what was expected of the future.
- Characters are shown with weapons and are wearing superhero suits - this supports the idea of action and adventure film compared to others.

- Huge crowds of people - connotes that the sixe of the event is immense and involves everyone in the area.

- The music is similar to a heartbeat making the scenes more dramatic

- Amplified Lightening strike when Thor raises his hammer - connotes his strength and power.

- Fast paced cuts are used to make the trailer seem quicker and more exciting - connotes action.

- Mavel's logo is shown in the centre of the screen, this way watchers can see it clearing and it will soon click that this is a good film to watch as marvel have produced many films which have made billions
- Shot-reverse-shot of Black Widow and Hawkeye talking, BW is helping H - breaks the gender stereotype of men saving the woman.

- Close up of peoples faces to show the terror in the character - making the audience worried even though they haven't seen what they're scared of yet.
- Tracking shots are used to follow the characters when they're running away, shows a tracking shot of the protagonist running away from fear - this scares the audience because the protagonist is usually the hero in the film but is also terrified and running away themselves.
- Long shot of a long corridor slowly getting closer and closer to the end door but is cut off - creates suspense and because it is cut off suddenly and not faded, viewers dont have time to act upon what they saw.
- High angle shots of victims - connotes how weak and scared they are compared to the Woman in Black.

- Old fashion clothes from 1910 and transport used was carriages pulled by horses - protagonist is a lawyer and wears upper class clothing, however other people in the town are working class - connotes his superiority, however not towards the WIB
- Woman in Black's house is a traditional old styled abandoned house in the middle of no where - popular convention in horror films - usually haunted or other bad things happen inside the house.
- Fogged up and dirty windows - makes the viewers want to know what's behind them.
- Dark colours used to give the trailers a scary atmosphere - connotes dark things like death, spirits, and horror
- Small foot steps are seen which is evidence of a supernatural presence, however they are of a child's feet made from blood - adds to the eeriness of the trailer.
Sound
- Childs voice sings poems and lullabies making the trailer seem eerie and gives it a haunted theme - a popular convention of horror films.
- Burst of sound used to scare viewers
- Only a small part of the story is mentioned - makes the viewers want to watch the rest.
- Peaceful music ends when protagonist enters house - connotes that all sense of security has gone and bad things are going to happen.
